The St. Bartholomew's Church of England Primary School is pleased to welcome you.
In April 2017, I was chosen to be the headteacher.
Our school has an OFSTED rating of GOOD, and the students who attend it do well academically and improve well over time.
"The school is a wonderfully accepting place," the inspectors noted.
Students receive fair and equitable treatment.
We have all the benefits of a city centre school as well as a significant quantity of indoor and outdoor space, which is not immediately apparent from the outside. The building's resemblance to the Doctor's Tardis has not gone unnoticed. The kids at St. Bartholomew's are extremely fortunate to have such sizable play areas for recreation, physical education, and outdoor learning.
Most students made considerable improvement from where they started in all year groups, and a sizable portion did better than anticipated.
According to preliminary data from assessments in 2018 and examinations at the end of key stage 2, a significant increase in the percentage of students meeting expectations in reading, writing, and especially mathematics has been observed.
I am pleased of our amazing students and the dedication they possess to their education and our institution.
The school offers a quiet, well-organized setting where students and staff have great, respectful relationships.
An inspector called the behaviour at an assembly "impeccable."
"The early years leader is energetic and successful, offering excellent direction to staff. There is a focus on personal, social, and emotional development in the first few weeks, but all aspects of the curriculum, including literacy and math, are taught from day one.
As a result, by the end of their time in early years, kids are ready to move on to Year 1.
