Anselm was alive from 1033 to 1109. He was named Archbishop of Canterbury after becoming Abbot of the Monastery of Bec, a renowned centre of study. Anselm heroically fought Henry I and William Rufus for the freedoms and rights of the Catholic Church in England. He was canonised in 1494 and produced a number of academic writings, including a well-known defence of the presence of God. Anselm's life was characterised by sanctity, honesty, bravery, and exceptional learning characteristics, all of which we want to instil in our students.

A fantastic school with a caring ethos, strong community and high standards. Long standing and committed staff, and excellent pastoral care.
St Anselms used to be a good Primary School but the main problem now is the high amount of children that are being bullied inside school.
