Nell Giles, the headmistress of Southampton Hospital School, here to welcome you to both our institution and our brand-new website. I hope that our website gives you helpful and useful information about who we are, what we do, and our beliefs and ethos as a school, whether you are a student, parent, a future job application, or just an interesting visitor. A unique educational environment, Southampton Hospital School, was recently given the rating "excellent" by Ofsted (February 2017). We provide a wide range of educational opportunities in a positive, secure, and inclusive atmosphere, emphasising growth and having high standards for all of our students and employees in terms of performance and outcomes. Our commitment to academic excellence is complemented by a supportive and nurturing environment, ensuring that the unique medical and emotional requirements of our students are met during their stay with us. Academic success is a critical component of this process, and we collaborate closely with our colleagues in the NHS to support kids as they take the crucial stages toward recovery. We engage with primary and secondary-aged children across four major areas of the hospital to make sure their absence from home school does not negatively impact their outcomes and progress. Since close communication with these home schools is essential to the project's success, we make sure all channels of communication are open and productive while the kids are in the hospital.
