From the South Farnborough Infant School
For its students and the neighbourhood it serves, South Farnborough Infant School offers a joyful, engaging, and inclusive environment. With 330 students enrolled, we will have 11 courses starting in September 2019, including 3 EY, 4 Y1 and Y2 classrooms. To meet the requirements of every kid, we maintain a policy of "over-staffing." As a result, each class has at least one teaching assistant, with additional staff available to offer further assistance to specific students or year groups. The most valuable resources a school can provide its students are people, thus we make sure that all of our teaching assistants are knowledgeable, well-trained, and fully integrated into the team. Teams of teachers and teaching assistants collaborate on planning as a year group. We are quite proud of the curriculum we offer, which is engaging, difficult, and makes sure kids learn important lessons they can use in real life. The children like our thematic approach of working, which we value, and the numerous structured play activities we design around it.
