The learning environment at Shiphay Learning Academy is joyful and healthy. We received an exceptional rating from Ofsted in every category, and student attainment and development are above the national average. We strongly believe that our school is a "family," and as such, we promote and nurture our Core Values of Respect, Contribution, Creativity, and Aspiration in all of our interactions with both children and staff. We hold ourselves to a high quality in everything we do and are adamant about the significance of the fundamentals of reading, writing, and math. At Shiphay, we think that every child should fully appreciate their time in primary school. Academic achievement is a goal for every student at Shiphay, but we also work to identify and nurture each student's unique abilities and passions and give them access to a broad and varied curriculum that is intended to engage students and foster a love of learning. Our school's utilisation of technology and the arts, as well as the variety of extracurricular groups and opportunities we provide, are special areas of strength. To ensure that students at Shiphay and our schools within Riviera Education Trust receive the best education possible, we work at the forefront of education, supporting neighbourhood schools and collaborating with schools across the South West. This is reflected in our consistently high standards of academic achievement. Children thrive at Shiphay Learning Academy, where learning is a fun experience to be had while also preparing them for life after primary school and teaching them to be a part of a diverse community. But come and see for yourself instead of taking my word for it.
