The Village Schools Federation, which consists of the following six schools: Sherington CE School, Newton Blossomville CE School, Stoke Goldington CE School, North Crawley CE School, St Andrews CE School, and Emberton School, is an honour to which I am proud to hold the position of Executive Headteacher.
The opportunity to lead the Village Schools Federation, which includes the schools at Sherington CE, Stoke Goldington CE, North Crawley CE, Newton Blossomville CE, St Andrews CE, and Emberton, is an honour.
Through the sharing of staff expertise, joint activities (including outings, sporting events, and celebrations), and collaborative practises among the six schools, our collaborative relationship and strong connections enable our students to enjoy expanded learning opportunities.
After working together for many years with St. Andrews CE School, we federated in December 2017.
Since I assumed the position of Head in January 2018, we have welcomed Mrs. M. Younger as our Executive Deputy Headteacher.
One Governing Board member of the Village Schools Federation is passionate about the specific and distinctive chances that tiny village schools like Sherington provide students.
The Governor's passion for local village schools inspired the formation of the federation in order to safeguard their future and maintain opportunities for individualised instruction in small classes with high adult-to-student ratios and an enriched curriculum that uses the local area, the local environment, and the students' experiences and interests in addition to the national curriculum.
I have worked in village schools for the past 12 years as a teacher, deputy, and head. I went to a village school when I was younger, and I am passionate about guiding Sherington toward Outstanding status.
Sherington School is located in the Sherington village, which is on the outskirts of Milton Keynes and close to Olney.
Students at Sherington are kind and joyful because they are taught and cared for by a devoted staff that is dedicated to inclusive practises and safeguarding.
We take pleasure in the Christian ethos and values that guide our daily conduct.
As one parent said, "We couldn't have wished for a finer start for our child," teaching at Sherington CE School is a privilege and learning is a delight.
The secret to living in harmony and carrying out God's plan is teamwork.
Work diligently at all you do as if you were working for the Lord.
