Being able to announce myself as the Principal of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic College makes me quite happy. P+P, as we are called locally, is a great place to work, and there is a strong sense of community there.
We are proud of our history and our beliefs because we are a Catholic school.
Currently, 52% of our student body is Catholic, and we accept students of any or no faith.
The school is well renowned for being very inclusive, both in terms of who enrols there and in terms of its support for other educational avenues.
Since my appointment in September 2018, I have worked with the senior staff to make important improvements that are now manifesting. Our school has not always had the finest reputation.
This was shown during the summer when we earned the best GCSE test scores ever.
With these outcomes, we are currently ranked second in Halton for achievement.
The coming years and the substantial impact we can have on our neighbourhood thrill me.
Our academic environment, which is friendly and inviting and that has earned us an Ofsted rating of "Good," enables all of our students to fully engage with the diversity of our society.
All of our students should have great expectations, and we want to prepare them for successful careers in their fields of study.
Whether this is done to support students' goals of attending Oxbridge or to locate the best high-level apprenticeships for those more realistic future paths.
Our career development and guidance programme is so effective that our most recent Ofsted inspection singled it out for special mention.
I have high expectations for the institution and am committed to helping all Saints Peter & Paul Catholic College students reach their full potential.
