I'm thrilled to welcome you to the website for The Sacred Heart Language College. I'm honoured to serve as the headteacher of this amazing institution. I genuinely think this is a "excellent" school where every girl has the chance to develop, flourish, and succeed. The idea that each individual is unique, made in God's likeness, and endowed with a range of skills and abilities is at the core of the work we do. As a Catholic educational community, it is our responsibility to encourage each girl to cultivate her abilities and talents for the benefit of her holistic education. Insuring excellence for everybody continues to be a priority for us. Our Year 11 students achieve highly which is testament to the expert teaching and high quality support that the staff of our school provides and a recognition of the hard work of the girls in their search for excellence. We hold all girls to the highest standards and demands and anticipate that they will do the same for us. I was happy to see that everyone in our community's desire and commitment were acknowledged during our school's most recent OFSTED and Diocesan inspection. As a result we were designated a high performing specialist school and in addition to our work as a language college we became a Leading Edge specialist school with a particular focus on our work with gifted and talented learners. I sincerely hope that this website can be helpful to you, whether you are a parent, student, or visitor. I'm sure you'll be impressed by the genuine sense of community that occurs when you come visit us. Our success as a Catholic learning community is largely a result of our shared dedication to achieving success.
