Our goal is to build a community founded on Catholic beliefs and values where each child is encouraged to reach his or her full potential while being supported by exceptional administrators, teachers, and staff. The DFE have reinforced the need to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Children have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our PHSE / Collective Worship / RSE sessions, through The School Council, through Public Speaking, during School Assemblies and in Class through hot seating question and answer sessions. Children are taught the value and reasons behind laws and rules, i.e class and school rules, that they govern and protect us, the responsibility this involves and the consequences when rules and laws are broken. Sacred Heart students are actively encouraged to make choices because they know they are in a safe and supportive environment. Children are given the chance to voice their opinions by casting ballots for the School Council and other positions within the school. Respect for oneself and others is the cornerstone of our core values and ethos.
