We're glad you're here. Being the head teacher of The Richmond upon Thames School is an enormous honour (RTS). RTS was founded on the principles of doing the ordinary differently and giving back to the community, which are the two pillars that support our philosophy and vision. Harlequins FC, Haymarket Media Group, Richmond Council, Richmond upon Thames College, and Achieving for Children founded the RTS Academy Trust. Our transition programme places a strong emphasis on identifying each child's needs and strengths. We can guarantee that no time is lost and that your child is given the appropriate degree of difficulty right away thanks to our method. Our core business is student achievement, and I believe that inspirational teaching, an engaging and challenging curriculum and a safe environment where children can take risks with their learning, result in all students thriving and realising their potential. Our curriculum is quite traditional in many ways and emphasises literacy and numeracy, the two pillars of education. Every student utilises an iPad in class, and together with our partners, we offer extra opportunities in digital technology, communication, business, sport, and healthy lifestyles. Our extended school day guarantees that all kids have access to a wide range of engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programmes in the arts, music, sports, and languages. Our goal is for every student to graduate from RTS having accomplished more than they could have ever imagined and prepared to contribute positively to society. As head teacher, my main goal is to constantly inspire our hardworking and gifted staff to improve their teaching, nurture their love of learning, assume more responsibility, and pursue excellence alongside the kids.
