The Queen's School is an outstanding independent day school for girls aged 4-18 located in the historic city of Chester. From day one, girls are taught that they will succeed, helping them to develop a growth mindset, the advantages of which include increased perseverance, positive wellbeing and self-regulation, and reduced stress. Pupils are given self-belief and opportunities to explore and try new things. In particular, Queen's girls are encouraged to:

Think independently
Collaborate confidently
Aspire globally

Providing outdoor learning opportunities is part of the fabric that makes up The Queen's Lower School curriculum, giving pupils the opportunity to reconnect with the outdoor world beyond the classroom, boosting environmental stewardship, academic learning, and personal development. Forest activities and the Beach School programme at The Lower School help children develop many skills that are hard to teach in the classroom. They encourage children to be active, assess situations, take risks, and make decisions, with lots of activities to develop both fine and gross motor skills.

Queen's fosters a global perspective by immersing the girls in experiences that develop a deep understanding and appreciation of other cultures. They want pupils to contribute successfully in the global community by developing the attitudes, knowledge, and skills needed to live and work in today's interconnected world, matched with global competence to participate as empathetic, engaged, and effective citizens of the world.

All of this takes place in a caring environment where no one gets lost or slips through the net. Being a smaller school dedicated to the education of girls, pupils are offered a level of pastoral and academic support that is second to none. Learning is enhanced through a wide range of co-curricular opportunities and individually tailoring the approach to each child enables them to achieve outstanding academic results, whilst developing the skills and mindset to thrive in a changing world.
