We have a fantastic Friends of Pinhoe School (FOPs) team that is led by our parents in collaboration with Assistant Headteacher Jen Metcalf. We also have a small number of dedicated FOPs members that regularly support the squad and the school. All parents and carers are encouraged to join the team, whether on a regular basis or as needed. The FOPs team organises events around the school each year and makes a significant contribution to our neighbourhood. Additionally, they put in a lot of effort as a volunteer fundraising group for the school. The funds raised are used to purchase materials that will improve learning opportunities. Every year, the committee sets a goal amount to raise and works with the Leadership team to select how the funds will be used. In previous academic years, funds were generated to finance the purchase of a new adventure playground, and over the last year, fundraising funds have been used to cover the expense of constructing an outdoor classroom. The completion of this project, which will be located next to the Spiritual Ark, is anticipated for April or the summer of 2019. Please get in touch with the school office if you're interested in joining the team.
