OFSTED We were given a Good overall rating in February 2016 and were commended for our "accurate and honest" SEF.
The inspectors acknowledged that our school is improving.
In particular, our study praised the decisiveness of senior executives and governors as well as our action plan, its implementation, and evaluation procedures.
incorporating a cycle of school improvement to connect the SDP/SEF and staff evaluation.
Creating a High Priority Off Site Project Students at risk of a protracted exclusion.
At Penkford, we take a holistic approach to education, and we think that caring for our students' emotional health and well-being is crucial. This stands alongside students' academic learning and their development of behavioural control.
To assist any of our students who are experiencing a crisis or who simply want to chat to someone in a "safe" setting, we have hired our own counsellor.
Our own Outdoor Education Team is something we've invested in.
Students are encouraged to take risks in a safe environment during Forest School sessions.
Additionally, students study toward the John Muir Award, which fosters an understanding of the natural environment and enables teachers to incorporate science in a practical, real-world setting.
Penkford will continue to collaborate more closely with other organisations in order to share our best practises during the academic year 2019–20.
Multi-agency preventative work is the main focus.
In order to reopen our ADHD clinic, we are actively collaborating with paediatrics.
In cooperation with Edge Hill University, we are also collaborating with a student who is pursuing a course of study pertaining to Child Mental Health Services one day per week (CAMHS).
