The school has a strong anti-bullying culture, and any kind of bullying is confronted and dealt with.
In the classroom, students have important roles and obligations, such as Year 6 extra duties, Playground Buddies, Reception Buddies, and School Councillors.
One of the fundamental principles of our institution is respect.
The students are aware of and comprehend that respect for both adults and children is expected.
Students are given assistance in developing an appreciation for both their own and other people's cultures and ways of life.
Staff members and students are urged to confront prejudice or discrimination.
For instance, people of many religions are welcomed to the school to contribute their expertise and advance learning during assemblies and in the classroom.
Students are taught to discuss and accept differences between people, such as differences of faith, race, handicap, gender, or sexuality, as well as differences in family conditions, through the PSHE and RE curricula.
Learning in RE and PSHE has been implemented in order to assist and follow up on assemblies and discussions about prejudices and bullying that is motivated by prejudice.
We provide a culturally rich and diversified curriculum that respects and studies the major world faiths, with emphasis on the global dimension woven throughout many of our curriculum topics.
Children get the opportunity to consider our guiding principles and British values through these curriculum subjects.
As part of our ongoing work on safeguarding and child protection, Peel Park is dedicated to and aware of our obligations towards the government's PREVENT AGENDA.
All staff members have completed "Prevent" training, and they are knowledgeable on how to address any anti-extremism or counter-radicalization issues they may encounter inside or outside of the school.
