On October 18th & 19th 2016 Oriel was inspected by OFSTED and we are delighted to inform you that OFSTED judged Oriel Academy to be a 'Good' school with a number of features assessed as outstanding. We received frequent affirmation from the inspectors that we are a good, "good" school throughout the course of the inspection. This accurately represents the growth the school has experienced since the last inspection three years ago. As an academy and a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust, we are in the midst of an exciting fourth year. Being a member of a family of schools provides a variety of options that enhance the education of our students and enable the school to advance from being a "good" school to a genuinely "Outstanding" academy. The ongoing growth of the Aspirations ideology in our school and the larger community is crucial to our journey. As an Aspirations Academy, we'll work with students to help them grasp their true potential and acquire the skills they'll need as they mature to reach their full potential. To put it another way. To be able to envision the future while being motivated in the here and now to realise those visions.
