From the The Oaks Academy
To help overcome achievement gaps and disparities between underprivileged students from low-income households and their peers, the government offers Pupil Premium funding. The money is intended to be used by schools to fund initiatives that will raise the aspirations, potential, growth, and achievement of disadvantaged children. The Oaks Academy uses its Pupil Premium funding wisely in order to increase academic equality among its students because we are totally committed to enhancing the aspirations and accomplishments of all of our pupils, regardless of their social backgrounds or socioeconomic situations. The wide range of evidence-based strategies we use across our school are helping to close the achievement gaps between our financially disadvantaged pupils and other students. How will The Oaks Academy use the student premium money? Every employee of the organisation, including the Board of Trustees, is aware that bridging the achievement gap between pupils receiving the Pupil Premium and other students is a shared duty. Every Oaks Academy employee must try to remove barriers to learning so that every student can grow and produce the best results.
