From the Newhall Infant School
Greetings from Sunnyside, where Newhall Infant & Nursery School is located. Our school is a large infant and nursery school in South Derbyshire - an area with a rich history much of it based around the industries of coal mining and pottery. Since 1895, when the former Newhall Council School was constructed, there has been a school operating out of the Sunnyside location. We moved into our present building in September 2001 (official ceremony November 2001) after a long campaign to replace the old school, now the Performing Arts Centre for the William Allitt School. We hope that our website will offer you a taste of all the fun and interesting things that go on at our school since we are quite proud of it. We value each child's growth and accomplishments, and we want every learner to reach their greatest potential. We offer a safe, nurturing atmosphere where each child has the chance to grow and flourish. Please get in touch with Mrs. Tallett or Mrs. Fearn in the school office if you need any additional information. Thank you Neil Loftusis the principal.
