I'm pleased to greet you on our website on behalf of the entire community at The Nethersole C of E Academy. Our School, judged to be good by Ofsted (2019), is a happy, friendly school with around 280 pupils from Reception to Year 6 along with a flourishing nursery for children from age two with great facilities, dynamic teaching within a varied curriculum and an approach to pastoral care that celebrates our Christian ethos and values. We are one of the six founding schools of Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy trust (BDMAT) and we are driven by a desire for our children to experience 'life in all its fullness'. In order to accomplish this, we aim to give the students in our school community the knowledge and abilities necessary to make wise decisions in the future. This means providing all with not only academic but creative skills that will help give every opportunity whilst developing the character of the child in order for them to be able to enrich the world around them; be it at a local, national or even global level. Being the head teacher of such a wonderful, one-of-a-kind school is an honour for me. Our kids continue to develop and share in our triumphs, and I am very proud of them. With assurance, a sense of cohesion, and a sense of moral direction supported by its Christian distinctiveness, The Nethersole looks to the future. A school is not defined by its physical structure, but rather by the people that learn there.
