From the Mowden Junior School
In June 2012, the Mowden Infant School and Mowden Junior School's Federation of Mowden Schools changed its legal status to an academy trust.
We regard the Infant and Junior schools to be one school, with one headteacher, governing board, and staff members working closely together to produce the greatest outcomes for the students, despite the fact that they are both located in distinct buildings on the same sizable site.
The school is located in the west part of Darlington on a sizable property in the middle of a private housing complex.
We provide care for more than 500 kids ranging in age from 4 to 11 years old.
The Infant School was the first building constructed on the site and inaugurated as Mowden County Primary School on Friday, December 18, 1970, at 2:30 p.m.
The extra space blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of both institutions.
With a big field connecting the two schools and lots of playground space for kids to run around and burn off energy, the outdoor area is great for learning and playing for kids.
Please schedule a visit with Mrs. Cockrill, the office manager at the school, if you would like to see our Federation, if you have any questions, or if you need a hard copy of the material.
