From the Moorside Primary School & Nursery
In order to become Moorside Primary School and Nursery, the Moorside Infant and Junior schools merged in April 2019. Because of this agreement, Moorside's students receive a consistent education and the sharing of best practises. The school serves the neighbourhood to the west of Harrogate Road and is located on the south side of the old city of Ripon. The school facility, constructed in the 1960s, is undergoing a significant renovation to enhance our well-resourced, exciting, and demanding learning environment, where children are fostered. There are many mature trees on our property, as well as wildlife habitats, forest school locations, an orchard, raised beds, two sizable playgrounds, and two well-equipped enclosed areas for our young children. From Reception to Year 6, our classes are divided into single year groups with one class each year. We have a nursery that accepts kids as young as 3 and provide wraparound care before and after school.
