As we continue to make tremendous progress in this area, we hope that your child will take part in one of the many enrichment activities provided at Monkwearmouth Academy. As an Academy, we want your child to enjoy themselves and form a strong sense of community while they are here. A range of [are] being offered by qualified coaches and staff members. From the wide group of excellent performers to the immensely supportive audience, our students were exceptional. Putting it on was a complete joy! The annual Search For A Star event was finally back this year. Congratulations to all of the performers, but especially to Mia Allan (Winner!) and the Fake Matthew Miller Band (Matthew []). Our Year 10 GCSE students participated in a full-day workshop led by renowned British fine artist Ian Murphy. He started the day by showcasing his vast corpus of work, which included canvases of all sizes, drawings on board, paper, and an enormous roll that filled the entire space.
