First and foremost, we want to provide kids the tools they need to succeed in school, both while they are still at Minterne and once they move on to secondary education.
Second, we want to inspire a lifetime love of learning in the kids so they never stop learning.
We successfully converted to an academy on August 1st, and we are now a member of the Potential in Everyone Academy Trust, I am happy to report.
The Oaks Infant School, Minterne Junior School, Bredgar CEP, and Borden CEP are the four local schools included in the trust.
On the south side of Sittingbourne, Minterne Junior School was constructed in 1964 to serve a lovely residential neighbourhood.
The school was rated as "Good" by Ofsted in April 2014.
The report, which is posted on the Parent View and Ofsted websites, lists the school's many advantages.
We have invested significant time in making sure that the curriculum we offer fulfils the needs of all of our students and encourages them to become self-directed learners.
The school's strength is now music.
We offer a school choir and orchestra in addition to other music clubs led by our committed staff.
Through the Music for Schools initiative, there are several chances to pick up a musical instrument.
A beautiful library with a good selection of both fiction and non-fiction literature is available at the school.
Our ICT facilities are first-rate and include a sizable suite with 35 contemporary machines.
The school can offer a broad range of winter and summer activities thanks to two playgrounds and a sizable field.
The school contains a wildlife area with a sizable pond and a lot of mature trees.
The efficient operation of the school is facilitated by our prefects and peer mentors.
We take great pride in our school and consider it an honour to work with you and your kids.
As "Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, and Responsible Citizens," we want to raise joyful kids.
