Everything we do is supported by a close connection with parents and a mutual respect in this partnership. Mascalls is a comprehensive co-educational school for students ages 11 to 18; in July 2011, we changed our status to academy. Although we welcome students into the Sixth Form and other year groups when spaces are available, the standard admission age is 11 years old. There are now 1410 kids registered, with about 220 of them enrolled in the sixth form. The school is located on a lovely 33-acre location just outside Paddock Wood. The structures are arranged in an open campus-style layout with lovely landscape. It features first-rate ICT resources, and in 2006 a brand-new structure was constructed with cutting-edge accommodations for design and technology, art, drama, dance, and music. On its website, www.mascallsgallery.org, the public art gallery Mascalls Gallery offers all genres of art to the school and the larger community. The school offers numerous on-site sports fields, and in August 2007, a new Multi-purpose Sports Hall was finished. In August 2008, a brand-new third generation floodlit all-weather field was inaugurated. The Leigh Academies Trust includes Mascalls Academy. The Trust also oversees a number of more secondary academies. The Leigh Academy, Stationers Crown Woods Academy, Longfield Academy and Wilmington Academy, a special needs school Milestone Academy, and several primary Academies. One governing board oversees all of the Academies, and the Chief Executive Officer is situated at the Trust offices.
