We are a day and boarding school in Newbury, Berkshire, for deaf kids. We are the biggest deaf school in the UK, accepting both day and boarding students. No BSL is used in our classrooms because we want our students to develop a love of speaking. Children and teenagers from all around the UK who are profoundly and severely deaf can attend Mary Hare, a special school that is not maintained. The Local Education Authority (LA) (Department of Education number: 869/7005) is responsible for paying students' tuition.
