Our goal for literacy at Marlborough Primary School is to follow. A speaking and listening strategy to advance students' reading and writing proficiency across the curriculum.
Rich, high-quality books are at the heart of Marlborough Primary School's writing curriculum.
Teachers choose texts that offer chances to draw connections and links to other curriculum areas, and they create assignments and projects with distinct audiences and goals.
In addition to gaining a deep awareness of the writing process, strategies, and conventions, students use these texts as launching pads to learn about a variety of other subjects and subjects.
Students strive to create results that are relevant and reflect their learning.
The school supports the teaching of reading across the institution by utilising a number of reading programmes, including "Rigby Star" and "Read, Write, Inc."
Reading instruction is supported by the usage of actual books as well.
At least once every week, teachers provide a guided reading session for the kids.
Every child will read aloud to a reading assistance in KS1 at least once each week.
Children in KS2 who require further reading assistance will read one time per week one-on-one with a reading intervention helper.
