We strive for academic excellence at Lyndhurst (we are above National achievement in both the Foundation Stage GLD and at the end of KS1).
We think that every child has a right to be able to read, write, be fluent in math, and be able to employ these skills in real-world situations.
We facilitate learning by offering a rich and engaging curriculum that is supported by our school's value system.
We think that a child's mental health and happiness are equally vital to their academic performance since they help them become positive people who are comfortable applying their talents to a wide variety of situations - a skill for life!
We acknowledge and appreciate your accomplishments as well as those of our pre-school providers, and we use these successes as each student's unique starting point for their time at Lyndhurst.
Eight children with ASD/complex communication disorders (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) attend Lyndhurst Infant School, which is fortunate to have a Special Support Center (SSC). The children come from a variety of neighbourhoods, and they gain from being in their special class with highly qualified teachers.
The youngsters in the Unit take part completely in school activities and try their best to integrate into the regular classroom.
