From the Longlands Primary School and Nursery
Small and welcoming, Longlands Primary School is a school. There are about 200 students enrolled in our one-form entrance school. We take pride in supporting each child's uniqueness and maximising their potential. March 1974 saw the beginning of the school. It is located on property that borders Herts Regional College at the end of a small cul-de-sac. It is next to a residential area and is easily reachable from the A10 and the M25. Additionally, there are many secondary schools in the area where we are located. Our school is surrounded by huge grounds that include two playgrounds, one of which is utilised by junior students and the other by younger students, a sizable playing field, and a conservation area. To suit the needs of the curriculum and the community it serves, the grounds are always being improved. Quetzalcoatl, an Aztec deity who was revered in Central Mexico around the year 300, serves as our school's mascot. He was revered as the dawn, wind, and fertility god. Thus, he was the God of Civilization and the God of Learning, who oversaw children's education.
