As the morning went on, the kids performed well as a team and gained a lot of knowledge.
It was nice to see the kids paying attention and making an effort to implement the coaching tips that Mr. Oliver had given the team to use in the game.
The B team had a fantastic morning because they were undefeated in all of their games, only drawing with the Howe Green Blue team. As a result, they won the B team competition.
We have high expectations for the squad's performance in the A team event in 2020 because it is composed of Yr 5 students who won the Yr 3/4 tournament last year.
We were delighted to have Stephen Cottrell, the Bishop of Chelmsford, visit LHS on Tuesday, May 21.
Kemi Badenoch, a representative for Saffron Walden, visited LHS on Friday, May 10.
Before responding to a wide range of inquiries from students in Years 5 and 6, as well as certain members of the school council, Mrs. Badenoch met with Mrs. Strickland and Mrs. Dutton, Chair of Governors.
Children were thus better able to comprehend parliamentary democracy as part of their study of British Values and Diversity.
