From the Lickey Hills Primary School and Nursery
Our goal is to establish a school where every student realises his or her potential by putting an unwavering emphasis on ambitious teaching and learning.
Our goal is to make sure students, as a result of their experiences in the curriculum, at least fulfil the national requirements in reading, writing, and math while also improving from their diverse starting positions.
We want every kid to leave LHPNS feeling proud of themselves and having excellent self-esteem.
The headmaster of the school exerts strong leadership and has high expectations for ongoing performance improvement.
"Dream Together, Believe Together, Achieve Together" is the school's motto, and it guides our goals and aspirations for each member of the school community.
There is a common sense of kindness and good behaviour that is constantly encouraged and supported by the three straightforward but powerful school rules that we urge all students to be aware of and adhere to.
You desire the best for every student at Lickey Hills, so you have carefully raised a staff that places a high value on fostering students' happiness and well-being in addition to their academic success. (The Government defined British values in the Prevent Strategy released in 2011, and these values were reaffirmed in 2014.
The DfE has emphasised the necessity of "creating and enforcing a clear and rigorous requirement on all schools to teach the basic British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of individuals with various faiths and views."
The legal system: At LHPSN School, students are constantly reminded of the value of laws, whether they apply to the class, the school, or the nation.
Students are instructed about the rights of all students at the school at whatever level is suitable.
They are also taught the importance of laws and rules, how they protect us from harm, what obligations come with this, and what happens when they are broken.
Individual Liberty: With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging atmosphere, students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
Through a safe environment and an empowering education, we as a school educate and set limits for kids to make wise decisions.
Through lessons in E-Safety and PSHE, for example, students are encouraged to know, understand, and use their rights and personal freedoms. They are also given advice on how to do so securely.
LHPSN actively encourages an anti-bullying environment, and it has E-safety and behaviour guidelines in place.
Everyone in the school community is respectful of one another.
The school annually contributes to a number of causes that the kids may relate to.
