The Leigh Academy is a hub of educational excellence that serves the entire Dartford community. Our students come together and collaborate in a community that is well-run and peaceful. We are a high-performing institution that accepts students of all academic levels. Our success is built on the traditional values of pride, respect and hard work in a modern, hi-tech learning environment. We consistently rank among the top 10 state schools in the nation for value added performance. The Leigh has been at the vanguard of education when it first opened its doors in 1990 as one of just fifteen City Technology Colleges nationwide. We are always seeking for fresh approaches that excite and empower learners. As a City Academy from September 2007, we now work more closely with the Local Authority and other local schools, while retaining our independence and our own unique culture. Students participating in Vertical Tutoring from Years 7 through Post 16 gather as tutor groups daily.
