From the Larkmead School
Welcome to Larkmead School, where a carefully nurtured community helps children succeed. We take pride in the orderly atmosphere of our community, where students are encouraged to benefit from a wide array of possibilities both inside and outside the classroom and to actively participate in operating and making decisions about the school. In line with our mission statement, we want students to "beyond their expectations." All facets of their lives—both academic and extracurricular—are included in this. The amount of development that a school enables and encourages children to make is the most important indicator of the quality of teaching and learning there. Larkmead is making tremendous progress. We are a "learning community" with a distinct set of values at its core. By fostering these values, we work with our students to help them become ready for an exciting and difficult future while refusing to let their ambitions be constrained.
