Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that represents the Christian principles of our Academy for our students to explore the full spectrum of their skills and interests.
Students learn to celebrate differences, support one another, and advance a culture of tolerance and respect in our inclusive learning environment.
At Langham School, we firmly believe that all students enter school with dazzling imaginations, fertile minds, and the drive to experiment with their ideas.
We work hard to create students who are enthusiastic about learning, motivated, and self-assured.
In the County of Rutland, we are a busy and welcoming school located in the centre of Langham.
Our inclusive learning atmosphere educates students to embrace diversity, lend a hand to one another, and advance a society that values tolerance and respect.
Each child will strive to do their best work in a supportive environment that reflects the Christian and British values of our Academy, according to our vision for them.
All throughout our school, we inspire curiosity and a love of learning in our students.
Our common existence as a Church of England school is centred on Christian beliefs and practises, which mould an open mind and a respectful attitude toward everything in our environment.
We seek to create young people who are happy, creative, self-assured, and confident and who love to study, contribute, and succeed.
We want to create autonomous thinkers and learners who are READY for 21st Century Learning—learners who are risk-takers, resilient, responsible, resourceful, reflective, and respectful.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Our goal is supported by a strong commitment to individualised learning, which we refer to as EPIC LEARNING.
Participate in initiatives that address issues of disadvantage, deprived, toleration, and respect for one another.
Encourage students to become inquisitive; have them pose questions, look for answers, make judgements, and talk about the results.
Encourage the students to gain strength, self-assurance, and respect by rewarding them and praising them.
Develop in our children a desire to preserve the environment, take good care of it, and make a constructive contribution to the neighbourhood they call home.
Foster a healthy competitive attitude, a desire to be successful, a commitment to fair play and to appreciate and enjoy the pleasure of taking part.
Provide a wide variety of extra curricular activities from which the children may select, benefit and broaden their skills.
Provide a broad and balanced curriculum to the highest possible standard of education for all children within our care through focussing on positive strengths, encouraging independent and collaborative learning and the development of life long skills that will enable them to lead full, caring and active lives.
Help the children to reach their full potential by providing relevant and challenging technological educational experiences, developing their self-confidence, self-discipline, positive self-image and care and respect for other people, their property and their feelings.
Teach children to be sympathetic to the needs of others in society, to conduct their lives with honesty, pride and respect for all.
Build a partnership with parents so that they feel involved in their child's education, as well as being able to approach staff for help and advice.
Keep all stakeholders, including the Diocese, and members of the school community informed through regular discussions, newsletters, information evenings etc and to gain their views and opinion through regular feedback.
Teach British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.
We promote these values through our own school values, curriculum and enrichment activities.
The underlying principles of our vision and aims are hope, aspiration and courageous advocacy.
Hope that things can always get better and make progress: the power of yet; aspiration that we will be the best that we can be in every way we can; courageous advocacy to step out into the world as rounded and caring citizens fit for the 21st century.

The headteacher has effectively led a review of all aspects of the school since the previous inspection, resulting in significant improvements.

Membership of the Rutland Learning Trust, particularly the work of its CEO, has provided good support for the school's improvement.

Teaching is of good quality and assessment is effective.

Pupils' personal development and behaviour are outstanding, with a strong emphasis on teaching values.

Although calculation and number are very well taught, the school lacks an agreed approach to teaching pupils to solve mathematical problems, and progress in mathematics is not quite as strong as in reading and writing.

Middle-attaining and disadvantaged pupils often make good progress, but work is not consistently hard enough for the most able pupils in a few lessons, and too difficult for those who struggle with their learning in a few instances.

Good-quality provision in early years prepares children well for Year 1 and beyond.

Well-trained teaching assistants contribute to pupil progress, particularly in small groups, but are sometimes underused in whole-class sessions.
