Everyone visiting The Acorn, the major phase of King's Oak Academy, is cordially invited.
We are creating a school with a progressive, personalised curriculum for students in Reception through Year 13 that builds on prior learning, delves deeply into subjects, and emphasises critical transitional times with a distinctive staffing structure and curriculum.
We will lead 4-19 education through our all-through Academy vision and tight working ties, and we will share our knowledge with other schools and academies.
A member of the Cabot Learning Federation is the Academy (CLF).
One of the most difficult decisions we as parents must make is selecting the best elementary school for our children.
All of our students should be creative, full of ideas, and eager to use their imagination and resourcefulness to further their education.
Children can only thrive when parents and teachers collaborate, encouraging shared values and closely communicating about progress, issues, and worries.
We at the Acorn sincerely believe that parents play a crucial role in their child's education, and we strive to create wonderful working relationships with our families.
We will work with every child to help them develop or improve their life and interpersonal skills because we fervently believe that school is about learning and about so much more than just learning how to read and write. These skills include how to cope with their feelings, what to do when someone annoys or wrongs them, and how to cope with a wide range of situations and problems.
The purpose of schools is to assist students learn and improve in these areas, not to punish or label those who make mistakes.
Finally, we believe that learning should be enjoyable whenever feasible in order to be effective.
