The development of The Tapscott Learning Trust is thought to reflect the approach that is favoured nationally after two years of research and evaluation.
The provision of services to schools is seriously threatened by the reduction of LA services and the role's transformation into one more focused on commissioning.
It is therefore believed to be the greatest framework for bringing about effective school reform, which will advance educational institutions of all educational levels.
Ranelagh Primary School and Rebecca Cheetham Nursery and Children Center have just joined Curwen and Kensington Primary Schools in their highly successful soft federation cooperation.
This effort has given us a blueprint for how to collaborate with other schools, sharing and developing best practises and kid-centered experiences while also presenting chances to cut costs and keep employees across the board.
This has also influenced our concept of cooperating as a group while maintaining the distinctive qualities and adaptations required for the schools to serve the needs of their immediate and larger communities.
The Trust's mission and goals are outlined below, built on the guiding principles that guided the creation of the new organisation.
The creation of a new organisation and its shift in status from a set of community schools to a group of academies affiliated through a charity trust will be guided by The Tapscott Learning Trust's goals, vision, beliefs, and reasons.
Our goal is to establish a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) that will guarantee the provision of the highest possible quality education, learning, and development of fundamental skills, as well as knowledge and understanding that will ensure that ALL of our students get off to the best possible start in life and successfully complete their education, leaving them well-prepared for the future.
to build a platform on which other schools with comparable goals and philosophies can join us in enhancing student outcomes for all students and helping other schools achieve these goals.
to establish a MAT based on nationally recognised organisational models so that exceptional schools may collaborate and exchange best practises.
Offer a diverse and well-balanced curriculum that includes the arts and sports, as well as a wide range of possibilities for our students to engage in that they would not usually have access to.
To build a more stable organisational structure that will serve all students, employees, and our communities.
Regardless of their social, economic, or demographic backgrounds, all students under the Trust will have the right to an excellent education.
The Trust will strive to achieve teaching school status in order to serve as a model employer for educators at all career stages.
The Trust will collaborate and share best practises to help raise standards using the Outstanding Ofsted statuses at Curwen and Kensington Schools.
a system of inclusive education where all students' needs are accommodated and developed through a wide range of educational opportunities.
The Trust will make sure of the following things in order to protect all students' safety and wellbeing:
- That all of the Trust's schools adhere to our strict policies.
In all academies and settings, the Trust will make sure that safeguarding is non-negotiable and consistently implemented.
The Trust will be able to provide its employees with fair employment opportunities, HR/career pathway support, and job satisfaction.
The London Borough of Newham and its school have always had a tight relationship, and we want to keep it that way.
We intend for the Tapscott Learning MAT to have the freedom to commission and provide services based on best value principles and quality service delivery in cases where the function of a local authority has rendered specific provisions and services unworkable.
The Trust is aware of the commitments and specifications outlined in the Academies Financial Handbook.
Making sure that our schools are suitable for contemporary learning and utilising contemporary technology to assist student accomplishment will be a part of this mandate.
Adopt the required Memorandum and Articles of Association, as set forth by the Department of Education, and create the organization's Trust and guiding principles.
With two schools receiving Outstanding ratings from Ofsted and one receiving a Good rating, the Tapscott Learning Trust is off to a great start.
Paul Harris, executive head teacher at Curwen and Kensington primary schools and interim executive head teacher at Ranelagh primary school, is our nominee for chief executive officer.
He is a National Leader of Education and is regarded as a visionary in the field of education on a national level.
He received the TES Head Teacher of the Year for 2015–16 award.
This will serve as the guide for establishing the Tapscott Leaning MAT.
The Trust will prize collaboration with other schools and local groups and will continue to do so with organisations.
Through this, we will continue to work successfully as a MAT to work with a wide range of partners to develop and enhance learning, improve standards and raise attainment for ALL our pupils.
