From the John Blandy Primary School
The Berkshire sheriff was John Blandy. Our institution bears his name since, upon his passing in 1736, he left 1200 to start a school to instruct young men in the art of navigation. We may have changed locations and the first school was founded more than 280 years ago, but we are all still explorers, learning new things, putting our talents to the test, and stumbling through a huge ocean of encounters. Our school is filled with committed, upbeat individuals who support the growth and success of our students by providing a robust, skills-based curriculum. The kids are encouraged to take risks, work in teams, and discover something new every day, just like explorers.
