From the Hope High School
At Hope High School, we think that each student and staff member deserves respect and dignity.
We set high standards for everyone within the learning community and expect great things from them in order to provide amazing learning opportunities for the students.
At Hope High School, promoting British values is at the heart of everything we do.
All of our students are encouraged to become inclusive of people of other religions and origins and to gain knowledge of the nations and cultures that make up Great Britain.
Our PSHE/Citizenship and RE lectures cover topics that provide students the chance to talk about issues that are pertinent in modern-day Britain.
Our school's entire culture is based on democracy and the rule of law, and students at Hope earn points for their participation in class and attitude toward learning. These points serve as a reminder of appropriate behaviour, as well as a chance to voice opinions about how others' actions may affect the progress of the entire group.
Students can voice complaints to school council members, who then discuss the problems and come up with a resolution.
We encourage methods that help kids learn how to express their emotions and behave in a way that is acceptable to others because we are a SEMH institution.
We have a system of Respect Points that staff members award to students when they exhibit the British Values that we all want to see promoted in society: outstanding manners, helpfulness, caring, resolving conflict, and empowerment of others.
The community as a whole is encouraged to participate in a culture that supports British Values because students who gain such points are appropriately recognised at the conclusion of each term.
Deliver a comprehensive, well-balanced, and differentiated curriculum that is student-centered and attentive to each student's needs.
Maintain consistency and advancement within the educational setting and get students ready for the next stage of life, which includes lifelong learning.
In 2019, Anti-Bullying Week.
At Hope High School, the Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy led a workshop for students on anti-bullying procedures.
In cooperation with the School Council, the school prefects will now host drop-in sessions and an anti-bullying idea and support box.
