to prepare kids for the industrial world, where they would need to follow rules and regulations and follow orders with competence.
Children of today will grow up in a world of rapid change, high technology in all spheres of life, and yet-to-be-invented careers.
Making sure that every kid at Herne has an opportunity to achieve in a world that is always changing is our challenge.
We hope the details in this prospectus will give you a sense of our school and, if appropriate, aid with your child's smooth integration into our welcoming school community.
We have made significant progress in personalising learning for all of the kids, and they now each have unique learning goals that are suited to their aptitudes in a variety of subjects.
Wireless devices are available for usage by the students throughout the entire school over a wireless network.
In order to guarantee that each student has a computer when working there, our ICT Suite was updated in 2016 with 30 brand-new PCs.
The school's grounds are fantastic, with lots of room and opportunity for adventurous play, athletics, exploration, and unique reading places.
We have received the Active Mark for outstanding physical education, British Council International School Awards, United Nations Rights Respecting School Award, and we are without a doubt the best girls' football team in Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth, and IoW.
We erected a brand-new Year 3 classroom, offices, foyer, and school entrance in 2015.
In 2013, Ofsted gave the school a GOOD rating and acknowledged the outstanding job we had accomplished.
We scored in the top 10% of schools nationally on the SATs in 2016, which is a credit to the effort and dedication of our staff and the kids.
Only 53% of primary-age pupils nationwide achieved this higher benchmark in the most recent examinations for the more challenging expectations in the revised national curriculum.
This increased to 59% in primary schools in Hampshire.
At Herne, 81% of students met this demanding standard.
