Everything we do is based on the values of our school. They serve as the foundation for our instruction and learning and create a setting that enables our students to develop into confident, content citizens. Living our Dreams and Being Exceptional is our mission statement. At Hawbush Primary School, our mission is "dream big and become great learners." It serves as the beating heart of our learning community. The life expectancy of students in social disadvantage is 9 years lower for boys and 7 years lower for girls than the national average (boys). Only 3% of kids from disadvantaged backgrounds will attend college. "If you're born poor, your life expectancy is nine years shorter than that of others" (Theresa May, 13 th July 2016). Our children will be the exception to the statistics and to create their own path having fostered a love of learning and to leave us with the experience, skills and knowledge to want more and to take control of their own destiny. The socioeconomic status of any student will not affect their ability to succeed in school.
