Education is said to be "starting a fire, not filling a bucket." Our job is not just about giving every one of our children the very best education, but also inspiring them to become interested, curious, lifelong learners who relish the delights of discovery. Every student at our school should feel secure, loved, respected, and trusted. We aim to create an environment where kids feel confident and respect themselves enough to take ownership of their education and put in the necessary effort to reach their full potential within the framework of a creative and demanding curriculum. We strive to be outward-looking, working with the larger community to fully prepare our students for life in a society that is becoming more and more diverse in terms of culture while also encouraging the family ethos that our small size makes possible, where children of different ages work and play together and take care of one another. We want our school to provide an inspiring and enriching environment that is both safe and stimulating; a school that serves the needs of all our children, whatever their abilities. We want to provide all of our kids with the inner resources they need to meet the difficulties of a world that is changing quickly by encouraging their curiosity, inventiveness, creativity, and feeling of self-worth.
