We are a small school with high expectations for the academic and spiritual progress of every student.

We can offer 20 spots in Reception each year.
In order to make sure that every student is adequately equipped for the next phase of their educational journey, our Governing Body and Strategic Leadership team are dedicated to maintaining a private Year 6 class of no more than 20 students.
There is nowhere to hide in Class 5, and all students are expected to role-model and mentor other students at Great Abington while displaying responsibility, resiliency, confidence, kindness, and teamwork.
Feedback from Linton and Sawston Village Colleges and other independent schools demonstrates how well-prepared all student groups are for Year 6 thanks to our group-specific strategy.
Many of our students reside outside of the Abingtons and Hildersham, which are our catchment villages.
On our website, Abington Annexe offers exceptional before- and after-school care (GAPS - Ofsted inspection report PDF), as well as spots for kids ages 2-4 through Abington Pre-School (Ofsted inspection report PDF).
Because all three organisations are present, they collaborate for the benefit of the kids and their families.
Child protection and safeguarding are of utmost importance in everything we do, and we are a proactive member of the South Cambridgeshire District Team, which directs people to local resources and offers direct assistance to individuals and families.
As a small school we have established strong partnerships with Granta Park Science Park, Cambridge University, Teaching Schools and Alliances to ensure our capacity to improve pupil outcomes is maximized at all levels.
We are a proud and active partner school within the Cambridge and Suffolk School Alliance (A special feature of our school is the engagement and support of our parent / carer body that is keen to be involved in all aspects of school life.
Whenever possible we make use of the talents and expertise of parents and members of the local community.
