Our school life is centred on Christian worship. The spirit of worship penetrates all facets of our school life, and prayer and worship are an essential component of our school day. Individual and group prayers, as well as prayers for the entire school, are also encouraged. Members of the school community are welcome to express their thoughts, reflections, and prayers in our prayer places, which are located in each classroom, a book on our altar, and an outdoor prayer cairn. Every school day includes some sort of active worship, and at least once a week, members of the Fellside ministry lead a worship service. Members of each class make up our active worship committee, which assists us in planning our worship services and assessing the effectiveness of our acts of worship. Through our monthly parent and community service, all children participate in organising and conducting worship for their classes, and at some point during the year, students from each class prepare and lead the worship in St. Mary's Church. The school still has strong ties to the Parish Church in this way and many others. We participate in a Eucharist service at church on the last Friday of the month and at least once during each half-term. All church services are open to parents and friends, who are especially welcome to attend and participate.
