The Early Years Foundation Stage, which curriculum spans kids from birth until the completion of the Upper Foundation year, still includes the kids.
Today, it is a legal requirement to attend school.
It is your responsibility to notify the school administration that morning if your child won't be able to go to class.
If your child is missing from class without a valid excuse in the morning, the school office will call you. This is known as the "first day reaction."
Children in the upper foundation stage are required to wear school uniforms.
To prevent anything from becoming misplaced, please make sure your child's name is on every piece of clothes and equipment!

The blue entrance is where full-time students enter the Foundation Stage Unit.
If your kid is not in their classroom by 9.00am, they will be assessed as tardy.
Your child will be expected to find their table and say, "Wake up, work!" when they enter the classroom.
Complete their wake-up work, which will initially consist of practising writing their names in cursive.
We do ask that parents leave the room by 8:55am, but you are more than welcome to stay and work with your child.
The youngsters will be prepared for Year 1 through this procedure.
Your kids will be marked as arriving late after this time.
Please pick up your Foundation Stage child first if you have school-aged children so there isn't a line at the foundation gates.
Daily phonics lessons continue to be taught to the kids, just as they are for your child in Middle Foundation right now.
Upper Foundation Stage will have literacy lessons.
Sessions in mathematics are held in upper foundation stage.
Your child is eligible to free school meals, but even if you believe you do not meet the requirements, we nevertheless ask all parents to fill out an eligibility form.
Children may bring a packed lunch from home or may take advantage of the free school lunch programme; please let the school office know before the end of the term which option your kid prefers.
You must give the school office one week's notice if you want your kid to switch from packed lunches to school dinners.
If your child has a food allergy or dislikes a particular food, please let a staff member know.
Every student is required to bring a reading book to school each day and bring it home each night.
This is altered as frequently as required, however it cannot be altered without a parent commenting in the reading record.
To assist us in fostering your child's reading abilities, kindly provide comments in their reading records as frequently as you can.
Parents are expected to bring back reading materials for replacement at least once per week.
At least once a week, children will read their take-home book aloud to an adult, and a note will be made in their reading log.
Each kid will have access to books that are suitable for their reading level, which they can read and then report in the reading comment book.
The children will do indoor PE once a week, and get changed in the Foundation Stage building.
Please make sure your child has a PE kit available.
Please bring your child's PE kit into school in a named bag on the first day of each term.
There is no playtime for the Foundation Stage children during the morning or afternoon session, children will have outdoor learning as they do in the Middle Foundation stage session.
Children will play on the main playground with the Key Stage One children at dinnertime.
Outdoor learning sessions will take place every day.
Within the first six weeks of full time school, children will undergo a baseline assessment.
It is summary of children's knowledge and understanding in Literacy and Mathematics.
At the end of the Upper Foundation year school is required to assess the children against the Early Years Foundation Stage Early Learning Goals.
These are the age related expectations for all children nationally at the end of Foundation Stage.
The data has been collated by all foundation stage staff.
There will be a full parents meeting on this in the autumn term.
As a school we have a behaviour policy that incorporates five golden rules within everyday aspects of learning environment.
This reinforces positive behaviour through rewards and sanctions that can be seen outside the Upper foundation classroom.
If your child requires medication it needs to be left with Foundation Stage staff, to be administered by teaching staff.
Once your child enters Year 1 medication needs to be left in the school office, to be administered by Miss Baughan, Mrs Harrison or Mr Quarry.
Other teaching staff do not administer medication.
Children have continuous access to water during the day.
As a school we are all agreed that children will develop their handwriting using the cursive handwriting script.
It is important that your child practises this regularly in order to improve their handwriting.
