From the Fairholme Primary School
The basic British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs must be promoted in all schools, according to the DfE, which has lately reaffirmed the need for doing so. British values were defined by the government in the Prevent Strategy of 2011, and they were reaffirmed in 2014. At Fairholme, these principles are routinely reaffirmed through the curriculum, the way we support kids' wellbeing, and how we help them develop a sense of right and wrong. The term "British values" may be slightly deceptive because these ideals are shared by so many nations around the globe that they do not differ in the least from those of most western European nations, for instance. We vigorously challenge students, staff, parents, and visitors who express thoughts in opposition to British principles, including "extreme" viewpoints, in addition to supporting British values. Click here for additional details about how Fairholme supports British values.
