In fact, I was thrilled to attend my first Bartonian awards ceremony, which was held right before the break for the middle schoolers.
I was happy to meet with Mr. Burkitt, the head teacher of Wollaston School, as we continue to share best practises in the teaching of writing between staff members at Earls Barton Primary School and Cogenhoe Primary School.
We recently held our annual school council elections since I wrote my last piece.
The Ministry of Chocolate visited our school, and their visits to the third and fourth grades were beneficial.
Recently, eight Key Stage 2 students competed in a badminton tournament and did an excellent job.
We are now organising ways to commemorate and publicise this year's "Children in Need" event.
I know we will have a tonne of fun and raise a tonne of money for this great charity because all of our kids (and staff!) will be invited to wear something spotty for Pudsey.
The work the students have been doing for our "Black History Month" has truly impressed me, and there is an amazing display of some of it in our Key Stage 2 building.
Children have had the chance to learn more about amazing figures including Mary Seacole, Walter Tull, and Jessie Owens.
We are anticipating the arrival of Rebecca Halworth, an ITV reporter who will be covering our Northampton Saints-led wheelchair rugby practises.
Regarding rugby, it was wonderful to see some of our kids get a personalised Saints jersey on the field at Franklin Gardens.
Reece Marshall, a Saints player, was warmly welcomed by the students at EBPS.
The kids' inquiries were insightful and gave them a better understanding of what it's like to be a professional athlete.
The team keeps up the good work of raising more money for our kids.
The PTA has successfully raised a sizeable sum of money, part of which will be used to improve the school's IT.
I hope you can make it to the PTA's Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 23, between 12:00 and 4:00 in the Working Men's Club.

Recently, some Year 5 and Year 6 students competed in an athletic competition at Manor Sports College in Raunds.
The Year 4 Thistle class celebrated their learning from all areas of the curriculum in a beautiful assembly for the kids and parents.
We are currently organising how we will observe and honour Armistice Day.
As the rest of the school observes a moment of quiet in the classroom, our Year 2 students will visit the village's war memorial.
I had a great time with Steve Watkins from the publication "Barton Today."
We discussed the intriguing "100 words" writing contest that was held to honour the magazine's 100th issue.
I am incredibly appreciative to the Co-Op Local Community Fund for their assistance in raising an incredible 3259 for our kids.
A large portion of money will be used to replenish the kids' libraries with new books.
