Following the reorganisation of schools in the Norwich area, Drayton Church of England Junior School was established in September 2007 and serves the villages of Drayton and Thorpe Marriott. As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school, we uphold Christian principles and encourage students to positively impact and assume responsibility for their local and larger communities. High quality instruction and results have always been a priority at Drayton Junior School, which has a long history of being a successful and compassionate institution. In fact the school operates around its C.A.R.E values; Cherishing each individual; Aiming for excellence in teaching and learning; Relationships built on mutual respect and Experiences that enrich lives. We constantly strive to achieve high standards for all pupils, both in terms of their personal development, well-being, and academically. This is supported by our child centred approach; a focus on everyone being responsible for their learning; our broad and balanced curriculum and a range of wider learning opportunities aimed at developing the whole child. We work hard to create a sense of community in our school and all staff, children and governors understand the role they play in making the school a positive place to be. As a result, we provide a wide range of opportunities and anticipate that kids will gradually develop their independence and responsibility as members of these communities. As a forward thinking, caring school, which wants the best for all its pupils, we work tirelessly so that children of all abilities can successfully meet our high expectations for learning and behaviour. Drayton Junior School is something we are incredibly proud of, and we welcome you to visit and observe it in action.
