We at Dorothy Barley are dedicated to helping parents who are also working and provide full-time (30 hour) positions for eligible families.
At Dorothy Barley Infant School we believe in providing a safe and stimulating environment which enables every child to achieve their best through varied learning experiences so that they grow to be confident, curious, happy, healthy members of the community.
We have high expectations for each of our kids and want them to become thriving adults who are pleased to be a part of the Barking and Dagenham community.
To help each child succeed in all areas of EYFS and Key Stage One learning, teachers carefully prepare instruction and monitor each student's progress.
We believe it is crucial for youngsters to understand their rights and obligations and to get praise for showing kindness and generosity to others.
Respect for one another and other community members is instilled in the kids.
Our school received the Silver Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Award in 2018.
The school is extremely fortunate to be close to good transportation options, and we love using these to take the kids on exciting outings like taking the train to the seaside in Essex, taking the bus to the forest, or taking the tube into London to take advantage of the fantastic sights and museums.
