Around 200 students from 4 to 11 years old attend Cumnor Primary School, where they are divided into seven single-class year groups from Foundation to Year 6.
We are a volunteer managed Church of England school, which means that we have strong ties to the local St. Michael's Church and that much of our teaching is based on a Christian ethos.
We had been at the "Old School" in the heart of the hamlet before moving to our current location, which is more than 50 years old.
You can learn more about the history of our school and the hamlet at http://www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/external/cumnor/index.html.
The learning settings in each of our classes are engaging and beautiful, and overall, we have adequate resources.
For intervention and support work, we also have a specialised music room and a range of withdrawing places.
Each of our three youngest classes has a specific enclosed outdoor learning space.
We back up to farmland, and both the community of Cumnor and its public footpath network offer several possibilities to extend study throughout the curriculum outside of the classroom.
