If you are interested in finding out more about being a Governor, whether that is with an interest now, for the future, we would be happy to share our experience with you. Being a governor is demanding and fulfilling, and it's a fantastic way to put your time and abilities to good use. The perception is frequently that the time commitment required to serve as a governor is much too much for anyone to handle, especially if you are employed. Another common misconception is that you need to be an educator or have teaching experience. This is untrue! An effective Governing body has a mix of backgrounds and skills, from ex teachers or heads, private business and the public sector. At Congerstone, we constantly assess our students' needs and look for transferrable skills that will enable the school to produce its best results. Although the members of our Governing Body possess a variety of talents and knowledge, we are constantly trying to expand and improve our group. We are here to support our school, and we would love to hear from you with both encouraging and helpful feedback. We firmly think that everyone has to feel a feeling of responsibility in order for the school to achieve the greatest results possible. It is wonderful to give our dedicated staff team good news and encouragement, but it is also crucial to hear your problems and concerns so we can continue to improve the school. If you have a concern or complaint please refer to the Complaints Policy for guidance on the procedures to follow to resolve this or ask a Governor or the school office.
