From the School
On a sizable piece of land on the outskirts of Morpeth, the county seat of Northumberland, is where Collingwood School and Media Arts College is located.
All employees who work in classrooms are qualified teachers or hold other relevant degrees in childcare and education.
The education and wellbeing of children and young people are supported by a diverse range of multi-professionals at school.
To further meet our students' SEND needs, the school provides a specialised learning environment with a variety of extension rooms and locations.
Parents like Collingwood, and there is a continuing need for spaces for students who live outside of our specified catchment area.
Students come from all across Northumberland to attend, with the bulk travelling by taxi or minibus and only a small number travelling on their own.
We have undergone four inspections and received high marks for the calibre of our management, teaching, and learning.
In 2007 and 2010, OFSTED twice recognised the school as exceptional in every category.
We have developed a reputation for competence in the region and have supported various regional SEN projects.
