Respected Parent/Carer, We appreciate your interest in City Academy as your child's potential future school.
In order to achieve the best results for all of our students, I have had the honour of serving as the principal for more than 4 years.
City College In the heart of Bristol, there lies a vibrant, varied, and energetic academy.
Based on the current CLF system leadership and commitment to ensuring excellent education throughout the city that enhances lives and places, in line with the strategic goals of Bristol's Learning City, City Academy makes a distinctive contribution to Bristol from its central location. This is a well-positioned and well-connected Academy with direct connections to the developments in Temple Quarter and key economic areas of east and central Bristol.
The outcomes of City Academy's students, the calibre and diversity of its employees, its connections to and contribution to the CLF, Bristol, and beyond are used to evaluate the school's success.
At City Academy, a strong sense of equity and equality underpins the experiences of students, parents, and staff.
To do this, we will provide a supportive learning environment that encourages learning both within and outside of the academy through a variety of planned and independent activities with the goals of eradicating prejudice, advancing equality of opportunity, and fostering positive connections.
Why is there a City Academy?
so that every student has the option to pursue a higher education, a career, and to better the world.
The academy received a "Strong" rating from OFSTED in April 2019, noting that its students "make good progress in all year groups" and that it "provides a good education for its students."
We want you and your kids to be a part of our journey to make this academy one of the greatest in the nation.
